Experiment and Prototype

The Creative Futures team can help you think about important questions and build experiments to try with audiences and communities. Experimentation and prototyping is all about learning how to solve challenges or problems we face together.

Prototyping along the Juan Bautista de Anza National Historic Trail (JUBA), United States

The Juan Bautista de Anza National Historic Trail team of the National Park Service (NPS) wanted to deepen historic and contemporary understandings along the historic trail of a missionary expedition. In a partnership with the International Coalition of Sites of Conscience, Linda and Stacey worked with the NPS team, community partners and indigenous community members to create and test new ideas. Participants first prototyped in workshops to gain confidence and understanding and then moved to design and test prototypes with new audiences at their sites. The result: new understandings, creative interpretations, and continued partnerships.
